PBA Leadership Meets with the State Parks Director to Discuss Issues

On January 14, 2010, Division President Randy Byrd and State Law Enforcement chapter President Andrew Chilton met with Lewis Ledford the Director of the NC State Parks and Recreation Division. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss issues and lay groundwork to build a productive relationship to address future concerns. During the meeting critical issues were discussed to include radio dispatch/communications, development of a concealed carry weapons policy for off-duty rangers, and emergency callback/on-call compensation for rangers. The PBA is looking forward to working with Director Ledford on these issues and continuing the positive dialogue in the future.
