|
|
Dear Colonel Gilchrist: On behalf of the North Carolina Police Benevolent Association, we congratulate you on your recent appointment as the Colonel of the North Carolina Highway Patrol. We would also like to take this opportunity to request a meeting to discuss issues and, hopefully, lay the groundwork to build a productive relationship to address future concerns. The North Carolina Police Benevolent Association is comprised of law enforcement personnel from the state of North Carolina. These officers are employed by federal, state, county, or municipal governments. Our association is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving officers working for North Carolina public law enforcement entities. The North Carolina Police Benevolent Association has been actively involved in North Carolina since 1986 and has worked with numerous officials at the local, state, and federal levels to develop positive and meaningful relationships. Through these relationships, a solid foundation of understanding has been built that led to many improvements for officers and the law enforcement profession. The North Carolina Highway Patrol chapter is one of our chapters and represents the interests of members that are troopers with the NC Highway Patrol. Dave Quigley is the president of this chapter and would like to also be included in the meeting. Thank you for your consideration in this matter. We look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Randy Byrd Division President North Carolina Police Benevolent Association 1-800-233-3506 ext 311
