The Mid East Chapter Gets Involved In Screenings and

Reaches out to Members

In recent weeks the Mid East Chapter of the NCPBA has held candidate screenings for the Rocky Mount City Council. As a result of these screenings, the Mid East Chapter  has chosen to endorse the following candidates based on answers they gave to questions they were asked in the screening process involving law enforcement related issues.  The endorsements are as follows: Mayor – David Combs, Ward 1 - Allen Mitchell, Ward 5 – Kenneth Pledger. The NCPBA will provide two of these candidates with a PAC check to help them in their campaigns while the. other candidates have asked for help at the polls.  The call has gone out to you our members. This is the first step in building a strong chapter and building a close relationship with these elected representatives.

Mid East Chapter President, Ray Williams, challenges each and every member to reach out to co-workers and ask them to join the PBA. PBA is here to work to for members and to help make the Mid East Chapter the best it can be for those members. Williams said, "I encourage you to spread the word to your friends in law enforcement to join the PBA because we all need someone to stand behind us and protect the protectors!
