Legislative Update:

June 9, 2006

On Wednesday, June 7, 2006, HB 447, LEO Creditable Service - Workers’ Compensation (loophole) sponsored at PBA’s request by Representative Rick Glazier passed the Senate Pensions and Retirement Committee.  With little debate and only one minor technical amendment, changing the effective date from 2005 to 2006, HB 447 unanimously received a favorable report.  HB 447 was sent to the full Senate where it will likely be calendared for Tuesday, June 13, 2006.

As per the posted PBA Capwiz Alert, all members should immediately contact their state senators to vote in favor of HB 447.
