Mid-East Chapter Makes Endorsements in Rocky Mount Council Races |
|
|
The Mid-East Chapter of the North Carolina Police Benevolent Association hosted candidate interviews for those seeking election/re-election to the Rocky Mount City Council. This was the chapter’s first local candidate screening. On September 6, 2007, candidates were invited to meet with members and discuss issues that are vitally important to the PBA and public safety. Some of the issues discussed included support for 25 year retirement and due process for law enforcement, shift differential pay, and the feasibility of take home police cars for officers. Based on the screening committee’s recommendations the Mid-East Chapter Board of Directors voted to endorse candidates for in the October 9th election.
