Cary and Raleigh Chapters Host Candidate Interviews for NC House and Senate Races

On August 27th, 28th, and 29th the NCPBA hosted candidate interviews for those candidates seeking re-election/election to NC House and Senate seats. PBA members representing chapters from across the state assisted in the screening process. Forty four candidates were interviewed over three days. The candidates were asked a series of questions relating to five issues that are critically important to the PBA and law enforcement. These issues addressed the 25 Year Retirement, Meet and Confer, Due Process for Law Enforcement, Separation Allowance for Retired Officers, and Pension Benefits to Spouse of Fallen Officers. The candidate’s answers and input from the membership will be utilized to make endorsements of selected candidates for the November general election.
