HB 2651 – Roth 401k Accounts for Law Enforcement Officers

Also this week, HB 2651 which permits officers to elect Roth conversion to their 401k and eliminates taxes upon withdrawal passed out of committee and is headed for the House floor. Introduced by Representatives Larry Bell  (6/21/06)

 

SB 149 – LEO 25-Year Retirement

Still no word on the necessary and previously reported amendments to SB 149, LEO 25-Year Retirement bill. PBA’s efforts in the House with Representative Tim Moore have been on hold awaiting the amendments to the Senate bill..... (6/21/06)

 

This past week was filled with initial frustration as HB 447, did not reach the Senate floor as expected.

After some mid-week inquiries, it was learned that HB 447 – LEO Creditable Service - Workers’ Compensation (loophole), after receiving a unanimous favorable report from the Senate Pensions and Retirement Committee..... (6/16/06)
