|||
|
On March 25th, 2010, the Cary, Raleigh, and Wake County chapters conducted candidate interviews for the May 4th primary. Candidates seeking the PBA endorsement for several NC House seats and a District Court seat met with a screening committee to discuss issues of vital importance to the PBA and law enforcement. Based on the screening committee’s recommendations and a vote of the three chapter boards the PBA chose to endorse the following candidates. Kris Bailey-District Court Judge, Rep.Darren Jackson-District 39, Tom Murry-District 41, and Rep. Rosa Gill-District 33. On May 4, 2009, Kris Bailey was the leading vote getter in his race and will continue to the general election against the 2nd place finisher. Rep. Darren Jackson, Rep. Rosa Gill and Tom Murry won their respective primary races and will continue to the general election. Rep. Jackson chose to use the PBA logo and a quote that was featured in various mailings that his campaign did to voters in his district. He also used a PBA quote in a local newspaper ad. |
