Cary Board Sets Agenda For First Year

At the November 9^th meeting, the Cary Chapter Board voted on the agenda that they felt was important to the membership.  This agenda will be pursued during the next year.  Many of the agenda items came through our political screening process where political candidates were made aware of our issues.  These items included health insurance for disabled officers, a workout area in the police department, shared sick leave, driver’s training, and voluntary payroll deduction for membership dues. Other items were items were those that don’t have town policy or budget implications.  These include an examination of the complaint process, increase of compensatory time and a bulletin board to pass along Chapter news.   The Chapter leadership will be working on these important issues for the membership during the next year.  The membership is encouraged to let the leadership know your feelings on these agenda items or any additional issues that you feel are important.
